Jane Slicer-Smith

Jane, born in the UK and living in Australia, is known for her great cardigans, capes and jackets. Her designs use Merino Sei (double knitting) or Merino Otto (aran) that are 100% wool that does not pill!! My best friend Bev has a jacket knit in Otto that has travelled the world and it looks freshly knit.

Jane is now expanding her pattern range with this amazing throw. It combines Merino Otto with Trendsetter Dune, Marrakech and Checkmate. I am knitting the throw and hope to have it finished in time for the Knitter's Frolic (April 22 in Toronto).

There is a new company maintaining our website. Over the next month you will see many of the new yarns that are in the store. The online ordering will also be updated to make it easier to use.

Spring Rowan
rowan 39

There is great news-the price of most Rowan yarns has been reduced. This doesn't show up on our website yet but we are charging the lower price on orders.

The spring Rowan will not disappoint you. There are designs for all knitting tastes and abilities.

Magazine 39 contains three beautifully photographed stories plus interesting articles - read about Lucinda Guy and the inspiration for her wonderful children's books, learn how to embellish and customize Rowan's ever popular Denim yarn or be inspired by our Fashion Revival spread where we use Kid Silk Haze to create beautiful designs with a vintage feel.

There are many designs in the new magazine calling my name-Carolina in Kid Silk Haze, Lizzi in All Seasons Cotton and Glad in Kid Silk Haze.

Two mini-magazines were also published. A Midas Touch introduces the new yarn Glimmer Print and Tuscan Retreat showcases Holiday.

Knitting Bags

Amazing new knitting bags have arrived from Jordana Paige. Definitely not your grandmother's knitting bag! The picture is for the Knitter's Satchel which is available in ocean blue, cappuccino and grape. Another great bag called the Messenger Bag is also in stock.

Debbie Bliss Pure Silk
db

The new Debbie Bliss yarn for spring is 100% silk that knits on 4mm needles. There are 12 designs in the new magazine.

The classic but contemporary styles are worked in stitches such as cables, lace and ribs, where the sheen of the silk enhances the simplest of stitch details and gives glamour and sophistication.

The elegant, timeless pieces include essential sleeveless tops and vintage style beaded designs.
