| Is spring finally here?
The nice weather has finally arrived.
I am
starting to order our yarns for fall.
You are going to see less of what I call 'frou frou'
yarns and more of the basics. Lots of
self-striping. Lots and lots of mohair. Many
exotic natural fibers like cashmere and alpaca.

Lang is introducing a great new program for sock
knitters. Every 6 weeks we will receive 6 colours
(10-100gram balls of each colour). Each month is
different from the last. There are different
stripes, patterns or combinations of both.
Once the colour
is gone, we can't reorder. We will be receiving
shipments the on the following dates:
- June 5
- July 31
- September 4
- October 2
- October 30
- December 4

| Get out your Noro books |

I saw the new Noro for fall this afternoon.
Amazing. There are 2 new yarns as well as new
colours of the existing yarns. There will be a
pattern book from Jane
Ellison as well as the Noro
patterns.
By the end of May we should have a new shipment of
Noro Kureyon and Silk
Garden. There are 8 new
colours for each yarn. The shade cards that I have
linked here are the current ones and don't include
the new shades-I can't find them anywhere on the
internet.
There is one thing to remember if you like the Noro
yarns. Our supplier receives limited number of
shipments from Japan. The yarn comes by sea (takes
a long time) and Noro can only produce a certain
amount. When we run out of a colour it can take
months before it is back in stock.

Great cabled sweater for a man or woman. You could
even knit matching sweaters for you and your loved
one. If you don't like the buttons at the neck a
shawl collar version is also on the
pattern.
Harmony-100% pure New Zealand
Merino, from Naturally, is in the store. This is
available in 10ply (worsted weight) or 8ply (double
knitting weight). You can use either yarn for the
pattern.
