Jo Sharp
We are happy to announce that Jo Sharp yarns will be
available in the store again starting mid-September.
This is the cover of her newest magazine. The
sweaters are amazing, in true Jo style.
The cover sweater is knit in a new yarn called Alpaca
Kid Lustre. The yarn is made up of 30% Alpaca,
40% Kid Mohair & 30% Merino and knits to a double
knitting tension. The other new yarn for fall is
called Alpaca
Silk Georgette which is a blend of 40% Alpaca,
40% Merino & 20% Silk. This yarn is finer and knits
closer to a 4ply weight-great for a pair of socks.
We will also be bringing in Silkroad
Aran Tweed and Silkroad
DK Tweed.

The new website is
up and running. We are starting
to add the new yarns and books for fall 2006. The
shopping cart is easier to use and payments are done
through Paypal. You can use your Paypal account,
Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
The
fall yarns are arriving. This is the most
exciting time of the year for me. All the great
yarns and trying to decide what to knit.

| Country |
|
One of the new yarns from Rowan for fall. A twist
on the traditional tweed, Country is a soft,
multi-coloured super chunky yarn that knits on 9mm
needles. The pattern can be
found in the new magazine Country Escape.

| Granito |
|
Granito is Trendsetter's newest creation and it is
100% natural wool. They have created this yarn with
a new method of dying that allows the colors to
change at a random rate creating wonderful stripes.
In some cases the colors change in a family of color
from dark to light.
You will be using 8mm needles so the garment will
knit quickly but won't be heavy to wear. The yarn
felts great too!
|
| Tapestry |
|
Dotty is one of the many mens garments you will find
in Rowan #40. Combining Tapestry with Felted Tweed
for an easy but effective Fair Isle vest.
A
beautiful blend of 70% wool and 30% soybean,
Tapestry is a warm soft yarn that has excellent
wearability and a soft gentel drape. This self
striping yarn is easy to care for and knits to a
standard DK tension.
