Ruffles Scarf
I just finished knitting this great scarf. If you
were to see a ball of this yarn you wouldn't think
twice about putting it back on the shelf but once
knit it makes an outstanding scarf. My scarf is 4
stitches using 2 balls of yarn but you can start
with more stitches for a wider scarf.
The yarn looks like a knit piece of fabric. You
don't knit with the yarn like in traditional
knitting but knit through the yarn to create the
ruffles. There are pictures on my blog showing how
you knit through the yarn.

| Happy Knitting
We are starting to see previews of the new yarns
coming for spring. Over the next few newsletters we
will be showing you some of these.
This spring you are going to see some yarns made out
of interesting products. Bamboo is being shown by
more than one yarn company. I have heard of yarn
being made of milk and another from bananas.

| Free Berroco pattern |

I really, really need this coat. This is a pattern
that came out in one of the last Berroco
newsletters. If you don't receive this, I suggest
you sign up on the Berroco site.
A coat is no longer just a coat today, as in Radha,
which is knit in Ultra Alpaca. Over the past few
years the knitters' coat construction of choice has
morphed from the time-honored tradition of a sleeve
cap fitted into an armhole a la "cut and sew." The
newest construction is one single knitted piece that
transforms into a coat on one's body. A marriage of
the coat and the shrug composed of ingenious
concentric ribbed circles, our coat when laid flat
looks like a ribbed pullover with no neck opening.
When you put your arms through the sleeves and slip
it on like a shrug, you are enveloped in a long and
luxurious undulating ribbed knit cover-up. Berroco
knit Radha in Ultra Alpaca in a rich shade of #6236
Chianti. Reminiscent of Fleur from their pattern
collection, this coat flatters everyone who tries it on.
