Happy New Year!!

It is hard to believe that 2006 is almost done.

The knitting industry is still going strong with more people (men and women) learning to knit all the time. The new year plans to be exciting with more knitting books and interesting yarns.

Ruffles Scarf

You're probably saying to yourself that this has already been shown. I am showing again because the yarn will be available in multi-colours. This will add a whole new twist to the scarf.

You can also use this yarn to make great collars and cuffs for sweaters or jackets.

Julia Roberts To Star in Knitting Film

This was reported on Starpulse.com. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2008.

Julia Roberts will star in the big screen family drama "The Friday Night Knitting Club." The star has been an avid knitter for years and regularly indulges in her hobby during down time on film sets. Roberts will also produce the project through her Red Om production company.

The film is based on Kate Jacobs' upcoming novel and centers on a single mother who juggles the demands of running a Manhattan, New York knitting store with raising her spirited teen daughter. Her regular customers gather once a week to work on their latest projects and chat, but when a tragedy occurs, the customers realize they've created more than just a knitting club.
