Noni Knitting Patterns
lattice

While searching the Internet last week I came across some amazing felted bags. I have ordered them in and hope that they will be here by the end of January. These won't be on the website until they arrive but you can email me to reserve the patterns you want.

The Lattice Bag can be knit as a rectangular bag as shown or circular (round bottom). Both of the bags in this pattern are larger bags that can be made as shoulder bags or handbags.

While the pattern on these bags may look difficult, it is not difficult to knit. Beginning to experienced knitters are invited to try this bag. The trickiest part is keeping your tension a bit on the loose side so the finished felted fabric is nice and smooth. For beginners who are a little shy of color work, you may want to work the bag in a single color for a wonderful texture without worries about tension.

Noni patterns has other great designs as well as patterns for felted flowers to adorn your bags.

Welcome 2007

We hope you had a happy and safe new year.

I am off to San Diego on January 12th to see the new spring yarns. Some of the new yarns have started to arrive with most of them arriving around February 1.

After much debate we are thinking about changing our store hours. Many of you request that the store be open late one night a week. We are looking to change the hours on Friday from 10-5:30 to 12-7. Please email me with comments on this.

Check out the new look of my blog. If you are thinking of starting your own blog, Blogger has made it much easier for you.

Mountain Colors Bearfoot
bluebell

Our latest shipment of Bearfoot just arrived and I will be bringing more skeins home from San Diego.

If you have knit with this yarn you will agree with me that it is beautiful. If you haven't tried it but love knitting socks, check it out.

This soft, washable wool blend is perfect for socks, baby gifts, shawls or scarves.

The yarn is made up of 60 % Superwash Wool, 25 % Mohair, 15 % Nylon and there are 350 yds on a 100 gram skein. One skein will make a pair of socks.

The pattern shown is the Bluebell Rib Socks. It is one of the new patterns for spring.

The Sunny Side Collection
lavold

This is one of the designs from Elsebeth Lavold's spring magazine. It is knit in a new yarn called Cotton Frappe-a double knitting weight made up of 95% cotton and 5% polyamide. Nine designs in the magazine use this yarn.

Magique
magique

One of the new spring yarns from Trendsetter, Magique is made up of 60% Polyamid, 16% Cotton, 15% Acrylic, 9% Polyester.

The new patterns will be previewed in San Diego. I am currently working on a shawl in this yarn. Check out my blog for pictures.
