Noni Knitting Patterns
The patterns have arrived.
The Prism bag has a handsomeness about it. It has
an aura
of the vintage carpet bag, a modern silhouette, and
the
intricacy of fair isle color work. Even the bottom is
fully
patterned so that every aspect of the bag is
beautiful to
behold.
The largest project in the prism pattern, the finished
bag is
quite roomy and its long zippered top allows easy
access to
the contents. You will love making and wearing this
bag.

Purse handles have been ordered for the bags. They
are
coming in many fun, bright colours as well as black
and brown.
Some of the bags require zippers which are coming in
lots of
colours too.

| Winter has arrived
It has turned cold in Southern Ontario. Finally
sweater weather
is here.
The spring yarns are starting to arrive. We are
having fun
fitting them into the store.
The decision has been made to change our store
hours on
Fridays. Starting the beginning of February we will
be open
from noon-7.
In the pattern section of the website we are starting
to add
slide shows for the magazines so that you can view
the
patterns in each magazine. This is going to take
some time but
we are working on it.
There has been some problems with our website in
the past
week. The server is crashing and will be changed
over the
next week. We hope that this won't cause problems
but if you
are going to the site and it doesn't open, please try
again later.

A new tape yarn from Sirdar for spring that has a tie-
dyed
look to it.
The yarn is 100% Polyester with 100m on a 50 gram
ball. It
knits on a 4.5mm needle.
As always, Sirdar has brought out lots of patterns to
support
the yarn.

We have some exciting knitting bags arriving in
March. These
bags from Offhand Designs are handmade in the San
Francisco
area.
There are many different fabrics available in all the
bags. If
you see a fabric and bag you want, we can special
order for
you. It was hard choosing which to order for the
store-there
are many amazing options.

I brought these exquisite, enameled shawl pins
home from San Diego. There are 15 different styles
and colours in stock right now with
more arriving in March.

Namaste is bringing out the messenger bag in Black
Corduroy.
This should be in the store by the end of the month.
We have ordered in a large selection of Rowan
buttons. These
should also be in the store by the end of January.
The new
books from Rowan, RYC and Jaeger should also be
here by
then.
Claudia Hand Paint has brought out a new 100% silk,
hand
painted lace weight yarn. I have ordered quite a few
colours
that should be here by the middle of March.
New colours from Fiesta in La Boheme and Rayon
Boucle.

100% mercerized Egyptian cotton from Nashua.
There are
100m on a 50gram ball. As you can see, there are
lots of
colours!!! The yarn and patterns should be in the
store by the
middle of February.

After looking at their yarn for
many
years I decided it was time to add them to our
collection.
The
yarn has arrived in the store and it is beautiful. It
isn't on
the website yet
but I have sent off the information to my 'web guy'
and
hopefully he isn't too busy.
The shrug is knit out of Alpaca Silk-a blend of 50%
alpaca/50%
silk. There are 133m on a 50 gram skein which knits
on
3.25-3.75mm needles.
