Luxury Tweed
Debbie Bliss' new yarn, Luxury Tweed is amazing. It is an aran weight yarn so you can substitute for her Donegal Tweed patterns or any aran pattern you have at home. The yarn content is 85% wool and 15% angora-yummy.

As always, the fall line of Berroco has great yarns and patterns.
This is Joyella knit out of Jasper-a 100% merino wool-and can be found in book 266. We have this knit up in the store and it looks great,

Shawl Pins
Why knit buttonholes in a jacket when you can use a shawl pin?
The glass shawl pins from Moving Mud have arrived. These are hand crafted in Vermont and no two are alike. This picture is from their website-we have different colours but equally as beautiful.
I am using one in a jacket and love it. Everyone is worried that they will break but I don't think it will unless you throw it against a wall. |

Hip to be Square Jacket
I started off trying to make an interesting vest that didn't work when finished. Sleeves were added and now we have a great looking jacket. The back is two mitered pieces (of different lengths) with a seam up the middle. You can wear many different ways-as shown, with the fronts overlapped and not turned down or open with the fronts hanging. It is super easy to knit. All you need to know is how to count, cast on, knit, decrease and cast off.
The kit is only available at The Needle Emporium. It takes 18 balls of Naturally Vero or Vero Tweeds.
