Ravelry

For the next few newsletters I am going to show some of the more popular projects and yarns from Ravelry.

This is Pomatomus which is designed by Cookie A.  She does some of the greatest socks (Monkey).
When I do another pair of socks, these will be the ones.

220

The yarn with the most projects on Ravelry is Cascade 220.  This 100% Peruvian Wool knits to a tension of 20 stitches to 4" on 4.5mm needles and 18 stitches to 4" on 5mm needles.  It is great for felting as well-Noni uses it for her patterns.  The yarn retails for $6.99 for 100gram skein.  We currently have 40 colours in stock with more being added all the time.

Oakleaf 3/4 Shawl
oakleaf
We just received our first shipment of Dream in Color Baby.  This is lace weight yarn (700yards on 100gram skein).  The Oakleaf 3/4 Shawl pattern is free when you purchase two skeins of the yarn.

We don't have all the colours but more are on the way.  We can special order any colour for you as well.

Bamboo
fc47
Stella from Naturally is available in six new colours.  The yarn is a 4ply weight made out of 100% Bamboo.  It is extremely soft and the garments are very lightweight.  My knitter Lynda just finished this cardigan for the store in lime green.  It looks fabulous!!

Debbie Bliss
db coastlines

Great news-two new magazines from Debbie Bliss.  And it gets better-the price of her magazines has come down $5 a copy.

Coastlines features Debbie Bliss' existing spring/summer yarns, Pure Cotton, Stella, Rialto DK, Pure Silk & Cathay.
prima
Debbie Bliss Prima Collection is for grown ups - casual but stylish, with the range including long line tunics, cropped cardigans and ribbed jackets.  The palette reflects this mood with the sophisticated shades of wheat and gold contrasting with rich ruby purples and dark chocolate browns.

Prima is a new yarn for this spring.  It is a beautiful bamboo/wool that is perfect for creating knits that shape and drape.  The yarn flows off the needles and knits like a dream, the slight sheen investing a hint of luxury to a smooth, classic yarn.
