I saw these felted booties at TNNA and thought they were amazing.  We have
the KnitWhits pattern in the store as well as kits that will make one pair of booties-small (infant/toddler) or large (infant/women's medium).

Mattress Stitch
Knitters are rushing to finish up their winter projects so they can dive into new spring yarns.  Sewing up garments is something that scares many knitters.  We suggest the mattress stitch for sewing your garments.  A great article about the mattress stitch was published in a 2004 issue of knitty.com.  View the article...

A few tricks for making the finishing easier
-We knit the first and last stitch of every row.  This makes it easier to see the line for sewing
-Use a smooth yarn for sewing.  The colour doesn't have to match exactly-your stitches shouldn't show on the right side of your work
-If you are knitting with a yarn that will break (i.e. Lopi, Kureyon) sew with a stronger yarn-cotton works great
-Some people suggest using the cast on tail for sewing.  We like to use a new piece of yarn which makes taking out easier if you need to.
