Plans are underway for the tent sale and store renovations.  Right now it looks like the renovations will happen in August.  The store will be closed for a few days-watch upcoming newsletters for the dates.

On the front counter in the store there is a ballot box.  One of our suppliers, Old Mill Knitting, is starting a new program called The Empire Club.  Fill out your email address and you will receive emails with information about new yarns, coupons for discounts on yarns and free patterns.  There will be monthly draws for prizes as well.  Stop by the store and fill out a ballot.

Kureyon-8 new colours (we already have 3 of them in the store)

Sirdar
A few newsletters ago I talked about Crofter DK-a self patterning yarn for sweaters.  This fall Crofter Chunky will be available in 6 colours.

Debbie Bliss
Donegal Luxury Aran has been in Debbie's line for the past two years.  This fall we will have Donegal Luxury Tweed Chunky (85% wool and 15% angora) in sixteen colours.

Colour Bleeding-what to do?
Sometimes when yarn is dyed a dark colour there can be some bleeding of colour.  This is called over dye.  There is nothing wrong with the yarn-it can happen to yarns of all price levels.

To eliminate the extra dye, soak the garment in cold water-no soap.  Empty the sink and add more cold water.  Keep doing this until no more dye comes out of the garment.  Then fill the sink one more time with cold water.  Add a drop of vinegar and let the garment soak.  This will set the colour.
