Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters' Fair
The Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Fair is the oldest and largest one-day knitting event in Canada. Organized and hosted by the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters' Guild, it is truly organized "by knitters, for knitters".
Date: Saturday, September 14, 2019
Admission: $7 per person, free for children under 12. $4 admission after 3 p.m.
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Fair is held at "The Aud" (Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex) in Kitchener, Ontario, and hosts over 80 vendors offering the latest and greatest of knitting products. The Fair is your one-stop-shop to see and feel the latest yarn, ogle the vibrant colours, visit with friends, have lunch, listen to a great speaker, be inspired by our Fashion Show, and pamper yourself at our Knitters' Spa.
Our vendors offer an incredible selection of yarn and fibre in every colour, knitting books, patterns, buttons, tools, and accessories. We also welcome several vendors who offer fibre for spinning. You should also visit the Micro Market, a space to showcase smaller local designers and knitting-related businesses.

From the designer - Andrea Mowry.
I had so much fun knitting The Shift cowl, that when the Spinsters told me they were coming out with a new worsted weight yarn, Dream State, I knew I had to make a Shift Shawl! This super fun shawl has an even larger canvas for color play! This pattern includes a recipe, to make it all your own, or row by row directions for those who want to play it safe!
Log Cabin Afghan
The Log Cabin Afghan is knit with 20 balls of Noro Kureyon. Each square takes one ball. This is a great project for travelling. You only need one ball at a time. No sewing required - the squares are joined with a 3-needle bind off.
We used Cascade 220 for the border.
We used the Paintbox Log Cabin pattern that you can find on Ravelry.
The Prairie, styled after the classic 19th century carpetbag. Opening wide with a 16” snap frame closure, the Atenti Prairie bag shows off a fully lined water resistant taffeta interior. Inside are a zippered pocket and an open divided pocket with a cell phone slot. Double straps with a 6.5" drop and an extra detachable cross-body strap (21" drop).
We have 15 new colours of Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles.
100g hand dyed 1 ply fingering weight yarn, approx. 366m/100g. Squishy and soft, with just the right amount of twist! Absolutely non-scratchy yarn. Will work for any lace pattern, especially Stephen West designs for fingering weight yarns. Colours shift beautifully from one to another. Randomly dyed to prevent striping or pooling, as much as possible, our yarns create variegated effect that looks good in plain stockinette or advanced stitch motifs.
